Regular January Meeting: Sable Island

January 15 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Come learn about the mysterious and magical Sable Island, a place that has captured the imagination of Nova Scotians and the world for centuries.   This presentation will provide an overview of everything related to Sable Island, from its glacial origins, history of human settlement, to its current management as a National Park Reserve and then focus on its unique ecological features, including the largest breeding colony of grey seals, and the Sable Island ponies.
Dan Kehler, a native Wolfvillian, is currently the park ecologist for Sable Island National Park Reserve
