Wolfville Christmas Bird Count

This year’s Wolfville CBC is scheduled for Saturday, Dec 14. If you wish to participate as a field observers, you can contact Alison Bogan (alison@bogan.ca).  If you wish to participate as a feeder watcher, the contact person is George Forsyth (ge4syth@gmail.com).

The tally potluck will take place at the Greenwich Community Centre 106 Greenwich Rd ( just off Highway #1 across the road from Noggins Corner Farm Market).  There is ample parking, wheelchair access, washrooms, dishes and cutlery, and a large room for everyone to meet and greet. Gather at dusk, or when you can get there, food will be served about 5:30 p.m. There will be a toonie jar for the Hall rental. All help with clean up and dishwashing appreciated!

Bird Studies Canada is also inviting photos, not only of birds, but of participants in action and scenery on count day which can be submitted to them at CBC@birdscanada.org. The rare bird form and other info can be obtained from the BSC site: www.birdscanada.org. If you live or visit within the count circle, keep your eyes open for unusual birds observed the count week period, Dec. 11-13 and Dec. 15-17.
