This is not usual. Since false morels are poisonous and could be confused with the edible true morel I have produced an illustrated one pager to make members aware that these false morels may be common in their vicinity this year and should be avoided. Twila Robar-DeCoste's line drawing is included to illustrate the key differences. Regards, Ken Harrison -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... The Minas Basin is world renowned for having some of the highest tides in the world, creating a dynamic and challenging environment for its inhabitants, with high sediment loads in the water and constantly shifting sand and mud. In my presentation, I will highlight some of the work my lab at Acadia University has been doing on how the muddy waters of the Minas Basin effect biodiversity, how interactions between mud shrimp impact community structure (aka Corophium Golf), how the development of these invertebrates responds to changing environments, and how microplastics effect common snails, crabs and mussels. I hope you can tune in. A link will be provided later. Cheers, Soren -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... She just finished her Masters Thesis at Dalhousie where she studied the impact of different user groups (fishers, walkers, photographers and more) on the disturbance of shore birds resting at high tide on beaches in the Minas Basin. Her work was partly sponsored by the BNS. Jaya provides the link to her thesis and to her presentation which is definitely worth watching.
