Hello everyone,
This Monday September 20, 2021 is our first regular meeting of the BNS after the summer break.
I know it is election night however results do not start to roll in until later in the evening. Therefore, what better way to wait for the election results than listening to an exciting presentation about the Mi’kmaq perspective on biodiversity.
We are very excited to have Elder Albert Marshall who proposed the concept of "two eyed seeing,” Lisa Young of the Unama’ki Institute of Natural Resources, and Karen Beazley, Dalhousie University, three of the authors of an inspiring article titled “Awakening the sleeping giant: re-Indigenization principles for transforming biodiversity conservation in Canada and beyond.”

Here is the link to the meeting which starts at 7:30PM (when you register it will state that it starts at 7PM but that is when the presenters start to make sure everything is working).
