I can attest that it?s a fantastic job for someone who?s keen- or someone who?s retired and wants a challenge. This is a casual outing with the intention of being outside and exploring together! Be sure to wear appropriate footwear for the muddy beach, and anything else you may want for a coastal exploration. I'll bring some magnifying scopes to explore the mud for snails, worms, and other small wonders. However, I thought I would circulate the notice here as well that THE FIELD TRIP IS POSTPONED. It is just really so hot (36+ still predicted) and unfortunately low tide coincides with the late afternoon and the hottest part of the day. This is out of caution for the dangers of heat, especially on a full-sun outing. WE WILL RESCHEDULE THIS FIELD TRIP TO SUNDAY JULY 31, AT 10:00 AM (to accommodate for low tide). This is the long weekend, but for anyone around and not off on camping adventures, we will aim for that date instead. It will be a casual outing to explore the mudflats and what is revealed at low tide, plus to explore the salt marshes. Sign up is here [1]. Stay cool!
