On Tuesday eve, Kings County will be voting on whether to provide a letter of support for this proposal. Their endorsement is key to getting the province to take this seriously. As the result of our publicity, supporters as well opponents have come out of the woodwork and are contacting Councillors. This is going to be a close vote. I am hoping you might take just a few minutes to do a quick call or e mail or our councillor to say you support this proposal. I have attached an info flyer that explains all of the details. This is time sensitive in that the vote is Tuesday eve. >> >> Councillors contact info can be found at: >> >> https://www.countyofkings.ca/government/council/Mayor-Council >> >> The map of who is in which district is at: > > https://www.countyofkings.ca/upload/All_Uploads/Council/election/maps/Kings%20County%20Districts.pdf > > >> As they say at the Ross Creek Arts Centre? ?Please share with your 500 closest friends.? >> >> Thanks >> >> Alan > __________________________________ > > >> > > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... There were lots of contacts! There was not a vote on the specific motion to write the letter last night but rather Council wants the staff to meet with us to clarify the proposed boundary first with respect to an overlap with a windmill zone. However, we have agreed to adjust the boundary to enable the wind zone and we do not expect any issues with this. A number of councillors noted the large number of letters and support for the protected area that they had received and clearly it influenced their perspectives on all of this. I am confident we will get the letter at the next meeting, likely in early January, given discussions with individual councillors and the discussion at council. Thank you, the support from everyone made a difference. Cheers Alan __________________________________ -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
