[BNS_members] Thank You for the Protected Area Support

Hi All

I want to thank everyone who contacted their councillor about supporting the proposed ChainLakes protected area. There were lots of contacts! There was not a vote on the specific motion to write the letter last night but rather Council wants the staff to meet with us to clarify the proposed boundary first with respect to an overlap with a windmill zone. However, we have agreed to adjust the boundary to enable the wind zone and we do not expect any issues with this. A number of councillors noted the large number of letters and support for the protected area that they had received and clearly it influenced their perspectives on all of this. I am confident we will get the letter at the next meeting, likely in early January,  given discussions with individual councillors and the discussion at council.

Thank you, the support from everyone made a difference.
