Lots of birds in song but the foliage has now progressed to the stage where it is mighty difficult to see and/or photograph small birds.</div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; min-height: 14px; "><br></div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">- 1 Eastern Pine Elfin (usually find one or two in these woods each spring ...this one a little bleached).</div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">- 1 Painted Trillium</div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">- a family of Canada Geese on the Seven Bridges pond. At least the 3rd summer they raised a brood there.</div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">- lots of Yellowjackets (wasps closely related to Bald-faced Hornets). Found one in our house which was so sluggish I was able to pick it up and deposit it outside. The several species are quite similar but I did not examine any closely.</div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">- mosquitoes not a problem so a pleasant walk. Later on in June one must lather on the dope if you hope to survive!!</div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">- 1 R/E Vireo (1st of spring for me).
