Miner’s Marsh Bird Walk (Environment Day)

June 6 @ 10:15 - 12:00

Celebrate World Environment Day with the Town of Kentville and the BNS!

As part of the event, John Burka will lead two bird walks in Miner’s Marsh: the first one is at 10:15 am and the second one is at 11:15 am. There is no registration required to participate in the walks. This is a family-friendly event.

Date: Saturday, June 6

Time: 10:15 am and 11:15 am

Location: Miner’s Marsh

Don’t forget to visit the BNS booth in the Miner’s Marsh parking lot!

John is a retired professor who has enjoyed nature for many years.  Miner’s Marsh is a special spot for him and he visits regularly to see the birds, turtles, and plant life and how it changes through the year.  Sometimes muskrats, beavers, foxes, and weasels appear as well.  If you have Merlin on your cell phone, bring it along, and we’ll see how many different species we can hear.
