Tick Fun and Fears

The verdict is in: there are too many ticks in Nova Scotia! How can we co-exist and cope with these creepy crawlies? Come and join us for an educational talk followed by Q&A and tick demonstrations with researchers from Acadia University. We’ll cover the latest research and a variety of tick facts to help you understand and avoid exposure to ticks and the diseases that they carry, as well as what to do if you encounter and/or are bitten by a tick. Children welcome! During the presentation, students will engage kids in an outside game.
