Trail Magic – Black Hole Falls

This is a walking series for women and girls+ 9 years and older to discover the wonder, joy, and connection of the outdoors.
The guided walks are geared to beginners; however, a base level of fitness is required. Participants should be able to walk consistently for two hours at a comfortable pace on uneven ground. So sorry, dogs are not allowed on these hikes (with the exception of service/therapy dogs).
Preregistration is required for this series and you can register anytime. By registering, you are not committing to participate in all of the walks. An email with details of the location will be sent out 6 days prior to each hike – please RSVP if you plan to join. Everyone who has RSVPed before each hike will receive a reminder email that may contain updates.
The next Trail Magic hike walk will be on Sunday, July 12 at 2 pm and led by Sarah Roberts: “We will meet at the parking area and hike about 10 minutes to the path to the Black Hole waterfall. When we reach the final path I’ll invite us to walk in silence to the fall to better appreciate the beckoning whoosh of the waterfall and all the nature sounds around us. At Black Hole falls there’ll be time to take pictures and enjoy. You can also choose to share your experience of walking in silence with the group.
Date: Sunday, July 12
Time: 2 to 4 pm
Location: Black Hole Falls
Meeting Point: Corner of Black Hole Road and Old Baxter Mill Road, Baxters Harbour.
Sarah Roberts grew up in Newfoundland and discovered her chosen home in L’Arche Homefires in Wolfville. She loves dancing and hiking and has been to over 120 waterfalls in Nova Scotia!
