Discover and experience some of the beautiful places & spaces here in the Annapolis Valley through our Nature for Newcomers event series. We’re thrilled to welcome newcomers from all corners of the world to this beautiful region.
Whether you’re exploring solo, with a partner, or as a family, and regardless of your place of origin, you’re invited to join us. And if you’re a local looking to extend a warm welcome, we’d love to have you join us too!

2025 Events
- Wednesday, June 18 12:-2:30 pm walk to Starrs Point to learn about the geological history and features of the Minas Basin. To find out more about this event, click here.
- Wednesday, July 9 from 9:00-noon: cycle the Wolfville dyke lands with the Town of Wolfville free bicycle program. To find out more about this event, click here.
- July overnight camping event at Blomidon Provincial Park
- August blueberry picking with Leonie
- September birdwalk in Miner’s Marsh
- October Blue Beach fossil walk
- November hike in Kentville Bird Sanctuary
- January Curling
- February Snowshoeing and/or sledding
- March Maple tapping
