Social media is everywhere. For scientists, it can be a powerful tool for
collaboration, promotion, and outreach, but it can come with a cost. Come
along as Hunter takes us on a talk chock-full of Instagram lobsters,
ecological memes, science celebrities, “doomscrolling”, and explains why
anyone in science should consider social media a critical part of their
research toolkit.
