[BNS_members] Death of Sherman Williams

Dear BNS members:
We are sad to report the death of Sherman Williams, on July 16. Sherman was one of the founding members of the Blomidon Naturalists when the Society began in March 1974. He was the first President of the BNS and served another term as president in the late 1980s. Sherman was instrumental in the production of the first 21 editions of the BNS Natural History Calendar (1998-2018). He lead numerous field trips over more than four decades on a wide variety of topics. In 2000, the Society recognised his contributions by awarding him an honorary membership.
