Hi Everyone,

I didn’t expect to comment on this. But I have found the Reply All discussion to date very inspiring and positive and this was also my reaction to the video of the April meeting presentation by Keeler and Jonas.

I would like to suggest The Jijuktu’kwjek Journal. This would be a direct reference to the original culture on this land when it was far more “natural” than it is today. The Jijuktu’kwjek River passes through much of the area served by the BNS.

It might be good to have The Geegeewoktok Journal in a different, smaller font underneath the primary name. We could all use a regular reminder on the pronunciation.

Regards,
Rick Whitman

Hi All

I am really excited to be the new editor and kick off the naming contest for the Blomidon Naturalists nature/environmental publication to be produced twice a year. But what to call it? it is going to be an informative, engaging and stimulating publication with lots of colour perspectives and reach. Please pitch me some suggestions and the winner gets a free BNS wildflower or Fungi workshop!!! Time is short, the deadline for suggestions if Friday, May 20.

AND, if anyone has an idea for an article or contribution to the new publication, or wants to write something, please reach out to me and let's chat.

Cheers

Alan Warner
