Good afternoon,

I have been asked to share this lovely invitation with the BNS
community.
The FAN Experiential Tourism project is piloting a new event,
"Cultivation Days", focused around local, ecological food, on Monday
March 20th.
While this is the same day as our Monthly Meeting [1] (at 7:30 pm at the
Curling Club or online on Zoom with John Brazner giving a talk on vernal
pools), the Cultivation Days event is throughout the afternoon and there
may be an option to leave early if you are keen to make both events work
in your schedule. Plus they are a stone's throw from each other!

Please share with those who may be interested, as RSVPs are due tomorrow
evening. Kindly contact Ann at barbaraann.coombs at gmail.com for more
details.

Warmly,

Caroline

Please RSVP by Thursday, March 16th 2023 at 5pm 😃

Dear valued member of the Wolfville Farmers' Market community,

In partnership with the Food-Art-Nature Experiential Tourism project we
have been working on developing something special, and on March 20 we
invite you to join us to experience it for yourself. If you are
interested in attending the event outlined below, please confirm your
attendance no later than Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 5pm by emailing Ann
Coombs at: barbaraann.coombs at gmail.com

Our new event series, Cultivation Days, celebrates, showcases and
engages with the farmers, vendors, makers and patrons of the Wolfville
Farmers' Market. Each event in the series will feature a unique,
seasonal theme. Through this event series, we hope to draw visitors from
within and outside of our local region, through the offering of
authentic exploratory learning experiences which will serve to amplify
and enhance the values and practices of the Wolfville Market community.

On Monday, March 20 we will be hosting our pilot event, with a theme
which focuses on reimagining how we garden and grow food. For our
initial pilot invitations, we are focusing exclusively on our WFM
community & supporters, in hopes of creating a special day for you to
all enjoy time together. We invite you to join us for the full day
experience, which will take place at three locations. Here are a few
details:

	*

The full event is 6 hours (2pm - 8pm) and will take place both outside
and inside at various times. We encourage you to dress warmly, wear
appropriate sturdy footwear and gloves.
	*

The event will start at 2pm at Terra Tonics Farm (89 Rockwell Mountain
Rd, Centreville, NS B0P 1J0), please arrive by 1:50pm.
	*

Just after 3pm we will move to Olde Furrow Farm (569 Belcher St, Port
Williams, NS B0P 1T0) for a start time of 3:30pm.
	*

We will arrive at our third destination, the Wolfville Farmers' Market
(24 Elm Ave, Wolfville, NS B4P 1Z9) before 5pm, where we will share in a
locally sourced three course vegetarian meal, primarily featuring
ingredients from our Wolfville Farmers' Market vendors. We are also
honoured to welcome author Elizabeth Peirce as our keynote speaker that
evening.
	*

If you have allergies or food restrictions, please advise Ann Coombs at:
barbaraann.coombs at gmail.com by Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 5pm at the
latest.
	*

As this is a pilot experience, both photography and videography will be
a part of the day, and participants will be required to sign a Talent
Release Form.
	*

Following the event, as a participant in our pilot event, you will
receive a brief form requesting feedback on your experience. To help us
improve and to celebrate our successes of the day, your feedback is
truly appreciated.

We hope that we have enticed you to join us for our pilot event on March
20. This event series will serve as an ongoing fundraiser to support
community programming at the Wolfville Farmers' Market. As such, we hope
that you will consider investing in this opportunity through a
pay-what-you-can donation in support of our pilot program. If you are
unsure what to donate, please consider something within the range of
$25-$75, or whatever feels right. For the actual event, tickets are
valued at $200 per person. Pay-what-you-can donations can be made by
cash or e-transfer to accounts at wolfvillefarmersmarket.ca

Participants will be registered on a first come first served basis.
Please confirm your attendance (or send your regrets) no later than
Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 5pm.

With thanks,

Lindsay Leckie
Business Development Manager
