Good evening,

You may be interested in this upcoming online program by the Pollinator
Partnership Canada: POLLINATOR STEWARD CERTIFICATION.

Some BNS members have already registered, and this aligns with existing
local and BNS work on monarchs, pollinator habitat and the Butterflyway
Project! (And thanks to Kathleen for sharing about this program!)

>From Pollinator Partnership: "We invite you to join us and other
Canadians for the first NATIONAL POLLINATOR STEWARD CERTIFICATION! This
unique training is comprised of eight modules that will give you the
science based knowledge on how to help pollinators and the practical
know-how to apply it. It's also a great opportunity to connect with
experts and other pollinator enthusiasts in your community and beyond."

This will be for people across the country, AS A LIVE ONLINE PROGRAM
WEDNESDAYS 7PM ET/4PM PT (SO 8PM AST FOR US IN NS), BI-WEEKLY, FEBRUARY
23-MAY 25. Sessions (8 modules total) will be recorded for participants,
if you miss a live session. Follow up habitat and education/outreach
actions after the program are required for full certification.
Pollinator Steward Certification is offered on a donation model, and
there is no minimum fee required to participate.

If you are keen to join or learn more about this program and

 Coordinator, Blomidon Naturalists Society

Blomidon Naturalists Society activities take place in Mi'kma'ki, the
traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq People. This
territory is covered by the "Treaties of Peace and Friendship" which did
not deal with the surrender of lands and resources but in fact
recognized Mi'kmaw title. We want to recognize that outdoor education
and play would not be possible without access to the natural world that
has been stewarded since time immemorial by the many Indigenous peoples
of this land. We acknowledge that we have a responsibility to honour and
learn about their histories and current cultures and to actively work in
support of reconciliation. We are committed to fostering respectful and
sustainable relationships with the Indigenous Peoples of this land, with
all other organisms, with the land and with the water.
