Monthly Nature Talks
The Society offers a nature talk at 7:30 pm on the third Tuesday of every month excepting that it is the second Tuesday in December. There are no meetings in July and August. Talks currently are taking place at the Wolfville Lions Club and on zoom. We believe a hybrid model is important to promote broad accessibility for both presenters and participants. The in-person event begins with a social at 7 pm.
Recent noteworthy talks have included topics such as the geological history of Nova Scotia, protecting biodiversity in Kings County, and the mystery and challenges of sea turtles and bats.
Nature talks, meetings and webinars are open to all, not just members. We promote these talks via newsletters, email, social media, on our calendar and other means.
